About Graeme – The Celebrant
I was born in Foxton raised in my early childhood at Himitangi before my parents moved into Palmerston North where I spent a great deal of my early life. Educated at the Takaro Primary School, Monrad Intermediate and then at Queen Elizabeth College.
After a short period in Wellington and Wanganui, I have lived the rest of my life in the greater Manawatu.
I spent the majority of my working life working allied to the building trade. I have two married sons and have five grandchildren.
Now in my early seventies, I recently purchased the Lychway Funeral Directors where I am a funeral director and a registered celebrant. My leisure time is taken up with Golf at Manawatu Golf Club; fishing at Taupo; occupied within extended family life; and more recently living in a Heritage homestead on a lifestyle farm in the Rangitikei (called Turret Lodge) with my new life partner.
I love being a celebrant. I consider it a great privilege to have been given the approval to officiate at weddings and funerals and I believe my dedication to the work shows in the results. Total enthusiasm, friendly and caring, together with compassion, a good sense of humour and a genuine love of interacting with people from all backgrounds and of all ages ensures that you can confidently call on me for that special occasion.
As a professional celebrant I am totally committed to listening to you and your needs and wishes so that I can deliver the ceremony that is everything that you could hope for.
